Affirmative
I agree the idea that Japan should accept more immigrant laborers from other countries. There are many benefits of it, maintaining the workforce, boosting the economy, and heightening international reputation of Japan.
First, as Japanese people are aging rapidly, there are also dwindling working people. Businesses are willing to accept immigrant laborers because they have the deepening seriousness of the workforce shortage.
Second, if immigrant laborers work in Japan, some of them will found companies. This is good for the economy. According to the study, the U. S. A. top technological companies, for example, Apple, Google, IBM, Amazon.com were founded by first or second immigrant founder or co-founder. This is a matter of course because usually, immigrant laborers work harder than domestic laborers.
Last, in order to improve the reputation of Japan, it should accept more immigrant laborers. Unfortunately, the country's status in the world about immigration policy is embarrassingly low. Of course, Japan is an almost homogeneous nation, but this does not excuse. Because of globalization, many developed countries have accepted immigration laborers. Japan should follow such countries' lenient immigrant laborers' policy.
In summary, Japan should accept more immigrant laborers. Through the lenient policy, Japan will flourish in the future.

Although many developed countries receive immigrant laborers, I do not think it is a good idea. Japan has another solution to the labor shortage. Also, this is due to worsening public safety, and having a complicated issue about different cultural interaction.
First, thanks to the advanced technology, such as automation and artificial intelligence, there is no problem about Japan's labor shortage. Businesses can complement their workforce using this technology. They do not need any immigrant laborers.
Second, when other developed countries accepted many immigrant laborers, their public safety worsened. In 2020, Japan hosts summer Olympics and Paralympics. This means that it should be heightened public safety. If Japan allowed more immigrant laborers, the country's public safety would worsen. And, the worst possible outcome would occur when the big sporting event opens. If this happened, many foreign tourists would avoid visiting our country.
Last, there is a complicated issue about different cultural interaction. For example, Muslim people must avoid drinking any alcohol. Even if alcohol used as a flavoring, they cannot eat it. But, many Japanese cuisines have liquor as a flavoring. And, fervor religion people pray many times a day, but businesses want to improve productivity. Because of a sensitive matter, they cannot tell their immigrant employees to ban the religious practice.
When considering the points mentioned above, I do not agree that Japan should accept more immigrant laborers.
