The Mandara temple park has many wisterias.
The festival period is from late April to early May.


During the festival, 12 kinds of wisterias are vividly in the glory.
The area of a wisteria trellis measures 4,700 square meters and a maximum of 75 meters.


There are flowers from ones of early bloom to late-blooming ones. The colors have purple, red and white, and various shades.


A kappa sculpture, an imaginary creature with a plate on its head living in the river, sits in the temple.


The wisterias have long elegant petals, lovely short ones, and double petals. During the festival, you can also see night-time illumination of the wisterias.


Access: From Central Japan International Airport, take Meitetsu μ-SKY Limited Express bound for Shin Unuma. Alight at Konan Station and 15 minutes by bus from the station.
